MENTAL SNAPSHOTS

Mental snapshots are mini-visualizations. Much has been written about using mental pictures or mental imaging to improve some aspect of one's life. For too many people, using visualizations and other mental tools seems to be based on wishful thinking. In Chapter 7 I show you that such faulty logic would not have you dream or aspire to any greater good. That would just be wishful thinking. In fact, what we achieve in life usually comes from our hopes, dreams and desires - our wishful thoughts. They fuel our motivation to realize our goals.

When you remove the voodoo and mysticism from visualizations, what you have is what all of us do when we want something - we see it in our minds and imagine how we will feel when we finally have what we want. Whether you call it "mental gymnastics," mental rehearsal, imaging, meditation, prayer or visualizing, it is a process as old as mankind. Chapter 7 discusses why Mental Snapshots is an important tool in maintaining a high level of motivation and how it also produces specific chemical reactions beneficial to weight loss.

In Chapter 7 I explain that I developed Mental Snapshots as one of my Power Thinking tools because I did not have time to sit down and engage in a lengthy visualization. I know that extended visualizations are a wonderful tool and I heartily recommend them for those who can take the time to do them. However, I started the EverTrim program during a very busy and stressful period of my life and I found that I could use Mental Snapshots all day long because they only take a few seconds to produce a profound affect. They are a form of time-released encouragement and motivation. I could call on this powerful tool any time I needed it. Mental Snapshots will bring a smile to your face and change the course of your day!
